NECTO Selection are currently recruiting for a Managing Quantity Surveyor in the Co. Down area. As the Managing Quantity surveyor on this role you will join an established department and manage a team of Project Quantity Surveyors. This role will be office based in Newry 4 days a week.

There is a dedicated path to becoming a commercial manager within 6-12 months for this position.

Typical responsibilities of this role include;

  • Manage a team of Quantity Surveyors (3-4)
  • Report directly to the Owner and work closely with the Operations director and pre-construction manager.
  • Build relationships with colleagues to ensure project delivery.
  • Ensures personnel and staff comply with all procedures and payments
  • Assisting disputes in order to protect and further Company interest and relationships
  • Assisting, advising and input into development and improvement of procurement
  • Reporting on monthly valuations, client variations, etc
  • Any other responsibilities as necessary for the completion of the role

To be considered for this role you should possess;

  • 7+years' experience within a main contractor or specialist sub-contract
  • Design and build or Civil experience is highly desirable
  • A proven track record in managing staff.
  • Construction related Degree
  • Full Driving license
